The Monster Energy Supercross series visited Oakland last evening, and Yamaha’s James Stewart left with both a win and the series points lead. Oakland saw an inspired ride from former champ Chad Reed (Honda) to take a narrow second place ahead of Ryan Dungey (Suzuki). Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto crashed twice during the main event, but still managed to finish in fourth place.
In the Western Region Lites division, Broc Tickle (Kawasaki) took the win ahead of teammate Josh Hansen in second and Eli Tomac (Honda) in third. Hansen has the series points lead after four rounds.
