Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Kicks Off East Coast With Wilson and Baggett

Corona, Calif. (February 10, 2011) – Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson and Blake Baggett make their season debut at the first meeting of the AMA Supercross LItes Eastern Region at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Both riders are going into their sophomore season as professionals as the two battle for their first championship.

Returning team member Wilson battled back from an off-season injury to enter Houston healthy and ready to go after his first title. The AMA Motocross Rookie of the Year feels stronger and more confident than his rookie season, making him a top contender for the championship.

“I didn’t feel like I got a chance to prove myself last year,” said Wilson. “I had some issues with my visa and had to miss a few races. I really want to show that I am a constant threat for the podium. I’m feeling good and excited to get back racing.”

New to the team, Baggett already has one supercross race win to his name from his rookie season. Coming into the 2011 season, he is more prepared than ever to make a name for himself in a deeply competitive class.

“Last year, I didn’t have any expectations as to how the year would go because I was new to the series,” said Baggett. “Now I know what to expect and I think I have the speed to make the podium consistently.

The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team will head to Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas this weekend for the sixth round of the Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM Championship and the debut of the AMA Supercross Lites Eastern Region.
