Corona, Calif. (March 17, 2011) – Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett and Dean Wilson look for their second win of the season as the AMA Supercross Lites Eastern Region series heads into the halfway point at Everbank Field in Jacksonville, Fla.
Both Baggett and Wilson have claimed wins and are looking to add another 25 points to their current points total. Baggett remained consistent through the first four rounds, making it to the podium in each main event.
“I feel better this year than ever before and I really want to be there for the championship when we go into Vegas,” said Baggett. “I know I have the speed, I just need to keep my mistakes down.”
Wilson is more determined than ever to see his No. 15 Pro Circuit-backed Kawasaki KX™250F on top of the podium again this season. His two races off the podium have only made him hungrier for the win.
“I don’t enjoy being off the podium and I think it really motivates me even more during the week to work hard,” said Wilson. “Winning gave me confidence, but I’ve not been up at the front to challenge for the lead. I think that Jacksonville can be good if I get a good start and stay out of trouble.”
The points race remains close as the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team heads to Everbank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. Baggett is second in the standings with 85 points, while teammate Wilson is close behind with 75 points in fourth.
