Cypress Calif., March 15, 2011 – Yamaha Motor Corporation and the American Motorcyclist Association are excited to announce that Yamaha is now the title sponsor of the new AMA Yamaha Super Ténéré Adventure Riding Series.
In its 5th year, the adventure riding series will host an estimated 2,300 riders at 20 individual ride events throughout the U.S. There’s a ride close enough for anyone to have the adventure of a lifetime.
“Adventure-touring continues to explode in terms of popularity, and we’re psyched that Yamaha has chosen to partner with the country’s premier adventure-touring series as a way to show off the company’s new Super Ténéré motorcycle, and show support of the segment, and its enthusiastic riders,” said the AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman. “Thanks to Yamaha’s efforts, series riders will see a real step up in the events that already represent the top rung of the adventure-touring ladder.”
With this year’s release of Yamaha’s all-new 2012 Super Ténéré, the AMA and Yamaha find this partnership a perfect fit for both companies. “The AMA Yamaha Super Ténéré Adventure Riding Series will expose the Super Ténéré to serious adventure touring riders around the country, said David Docktor, Yamaha’s Motorcycle Marketing Manager. “We plan to have a Super Ténéré on each ride, so participants can see first-hand how capable and fun to ride this new machine really is.”
The AMA will be providing every Yamaha Super Ténéré owner a 25% discount card on all 1 & 2 Day Series Rides and special discounts on longer events during the two year partnership.
Whether you’re new to the genre or an experienced rider, these adventure rides are easy to participate in and a great way to experience an adventure with people that share your passion.
As part of Yamaha’s involvement, one lucky participant in the 2011 AMA Yamaha Super Ténéré Adventure Series will win a brand new 2012 Super Ténéré Motorcycle.
