In contrast to the recent experience of Colin Edwards (who found the podium just a week after breaking his collarbone), Dani Pedrosa has been struggling since he crashed at Le Mans over a month ago. He has just undergone a second surgery to repair a bone fragment loose from his collarbone, which was successfully reattached. Pedrosa has already missed two races since Le Mans, and has been aiming for a comeback at Assen next weekend. That now looks doubtful, although no final decision has been made by Pedrosa or his employer, Honda.
I don’t like to see any rider or racer hurt. Heal up quick, mini-man…
When the going gets tough the tough get going. Good on you Colin
Pedrosa is like a fragile, little bird.
Edwards is the MAN! Imagine proving your fitness by doing pushups just days after getting a plate and 13 screws in your collarbone? Then to ride a MotoGP beast in practice, qualifying, and the race (even in the rain, that’s gotta hurt)! Then keep your focus through the pain as other riders are crashing around you!
I would have parked it, and got some ice cream!
