Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) was able to hold off early challenges from points leader Casey Stoner (Honda) to take the win yesterday at Misano. Stoner ultimately finished in third position behind teammate Dani Pedrosa. Behind the lead trio, a fierce battle for fourth place ensued between Marco Simoncelli (Honda), Andrea Dovizioso (Honda) and Ben Spies (Yamaha). The three crossed the finish line within one second of each other, with Simoncelli taking fourth, Dovizioso taking fifth and Spies sixth. Stoner still holds a healthy points lead in the championship series.

Spies on a Honda? Is that a vision of the future Dirck or just a typo?
Hahahahahaha awesome!!!!!!!!
Uhhh ; what’s Ben doing on a Honda ???
Anyway ; I’ll be anxious to see Ben on the next generation of liter size GP’s. Hopefully he hasn’t lost what he learned so well by doing serious battle with Mat for years.
Pretty good race. Enjoyed seeing Jorge win, Danny finish second and Spies challenging. Rossi ran better for a while, Simo looked fast, heck even Edwards has been looking pretty good this year. Not sure I like the new Suzuki colors but good to see Suzuki running well too. Poor Nicky ….the bad luck kid.
That battle for fourth was a nail biter! Good racing… Happy to see Jorge fighting hard for the championship. I personally would love to see him hold onto the #1 plates.
