Round 3 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series was held at Dodger Stadium last night, and Chad Reed (Honda) came away with his first win of the year ahead of second place Ryan Dungey (KTM) and third place James Stewart (Yamaha). For the second week in a row Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) had to charge hard from last place after an opening lap incident. This time Villopoto made it up to fourth place at the flag. Dungey has the series points lead.
Trey Canard (Honda) and Ryan Morais (Yamaha) were involved in a serious accident on the first lap that required a re-start of the main event. Our information at the time of this writing is that Morais broke his jaw and several bones in his back, but has no issues with loss of feeling or paralysis and should heal in approximately six weeks with a brace. It is our understanding that Canard broke some vertebrae in the thoracic section of his spine, and may require some minor surgery later this coming week. Things could change for both of these young men, but Honda indicates that Canard has 100% feeling in his legs at this time. Watch our press release area for additional updates.

It looks like Stewart is capable of winning. He just seems to be lacking the explosive speed of the past. Awesome season so far , lots of surprises!
Hopefully, there will be a great battle amounst the front runners in one of these mains.
Stewart looks uncomfortable on the bike.
Weimer got stuffed by Stewart …lol Maybe next time Jake will not leave the back door open…lol You know the saying if you can’t ride with the big dogs……
Stewart pulled a nasty take-out move on Jake Weimer, and was booed on the podium.
