Michael Jordan Motorsports to Partner With Army National Guard, Fairhills Group and Celtic Racing to Field Supersport Entry in 2012

EAST TROY, WI / CARMEL, NY (January 6, 2012) – Michael Jordan Motorsports (MJM) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Army National Guard, Fairhills Group and Celtic Racing to create a SuperSport effort that will compete in both the AMA Pro SuperSport East and West championship series in 2012. This unique partnership cements a long-standing alliance between MJM and Celtic Racing, which will provide technical and logistical services for the program. The Army National Guard has participated in AMA Pro SuperSport over the past two years, giving young riders opportunities to further their racing careers. Fairhills Group, a New York based alternative investment management firm founded by Edward Bronson, has signed on as co-title sponsor of the effort. Corey Alexander, a 2011 race winner, will pilot the #5 National Guard Fairhills Group Racing entry.

Alexander, 17, has been riding and racing motorcycles since he was five years old. His family has been in the motorcycle industry for over 50 years and owns a motorcycle dealership in New York. Alexander started his road racing career at the age of 13 after being selected as one of the 23 Redbull Rookies in 2008. When the Rookies program was over he was too young to turn pro, so he honed his skills winning amateur national championships. In 2011, his first full season as a pro, Alexander won his first AMA national and went on to finish third in the AMA West Coast SuperSport Championship.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to begin to compete at the entry level, as developing young talent is crucial to the future of our sport,” said Kreig Robinson, MJM’s Vice President of Corporate Relations. “We’re extremely excited to expand our partnership with the Army National Guard, as well as welcome Fairhills and Celtic Racing officially into the family.”

Racer Corey Alexander added, “I’m so excited to be a part of the National Guard Fairhills Group Racing team. It is truly an honor to ride for the National Guard and I look forward to representing hundreds of thousands of soldiers while doing what I love, racing motorcycles. I’m also very excited to have Fairhills as a new part of our program and sport while partnering up with the well-known Celtic Racing. I know we now have one of the top teams in the paddock and it’s my job to utilize all of these amazing resources to win some races! I also want to give a special thanks to Michael Jordan Motorsports for giving me this amazing opportunity.”

“To be asked by Michael Jordan Motorsports to run the National Guard Fairhills Group Racing SuperSport program is a great opportunity and honor,” said Barry Gilsenan, Celtic Racing team owner. “Celtic Racing prides itself on the development of young riders. We helped Corey Alexander start his racing career on the 125’s and have watched him progress as a rider. Corey is a great kid and we look forward to working with him this season.”

Edward Bronson, Founder of Fairhills, commented, “As avid fans of motorsports, we take pleasure in providing support to racers and to the fans of the sport. We look forward to sharing the experience with our clients and prospective investors.”
