Bike Week 2012 Offers Demo Rides, Custom Bike Show, Street Party and More
MILWAUKEE (Feb. 21, 2012) – Harley-Davidson will fire up the riding season at Daytona Bike Week 2012 with a collection of the latest and greatest motorcycles and more at Riverfront Park on Beach Street and at Daytona International Speedway.
“We know that Daytona Bike Week signals the start of motorcycle season, and Harley-Davidson has been part of that tradition since the beginning,” said Steve Piehl, Harley-Davidson Director of Customer Experience. “Not only will we give riders a chance to enjoy our new motorcycles at the Speedway, but we are also a big part of the scene at Riverfront Park on Beach Street. We love being there with thousands of riders enjoying the Harley experience.”
Harley-Davidson will display motorcycles, MotorClothes, H-D1 customization, Women’s Area, Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) raffle, H-D Insurance, H-D Visa, Willie G. merchandise, beverages, free parking and more at Riverfront Park on Beach Street from Saturday, March 10 to Saturday, March 17, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Harley-Davidson has partnered with American Iron magazine to host the Ride-In Custom Bike Show on Beach Street Wednesday, March 14. Registration is 9 a.m. to noon with a $10 entry fee MDA donation. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded at 4 p.m. in 11 classes with three Editors’ Pick winners to be featured in American Iron or Motorcycle Bagger magazines.
Harley Owner’s Group (H.O.G.) events in Daytona include pin stops at Beach Street and the Speedway, along with a special AT&T Recharge Area for H.O.G. members on Beach Street. After the Ride-In Show, Harley-Davidson will host a special street party on Beach Street with the Blues Brothers Revue, including food/drink coupons for H.O.G. members.
Harley-Davidson will give 2012 motorcycle demo rides, along with motorcycle displays, UFC Experience, Ford exhibit, beverages and free parking at Daytona International Speedway near the Intersection of Midway Avenue and Richard Petty Boulevard from Saturday, March 10, to Saturday, March 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The 6th Annual MDA Women’s Ride will take place Tuesday, March 13 with registration on Beach Street starting at 8 a.m. and the ride landing at Destination Daytona at 10 a.m.
Harley-Davidson will also be at Black Bike Week on Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard in Daytona Beach March 15-17 from 3-10 p.m.
