Monster Energy Gives Back Partners with the Paul Thacker Foundation For Spinal Cord Recovery

February 27, 2012 – CORONA, CALIF – Monster Energy Gives Back Program teams up with the Paul Thacker Spinal Cord Recovery Foundation in an effort to help continue to raise funds for Paul’s Recovery and others in similar situations by providing an auction opportunity through Bidding for Good – an online auction site that provides a unique platform to create dynamic fundraising events to ultimately raise awareness and money for the causes we can all empathize with and care so much about.

With any long-term recovery process the expenses can be tremendous. Therapy, medical devices and research alone can cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, a huge expense for any individual to tackle alone.

Bidding for Good is hosting an amazing auction in support of Paul Thacker’s Foundation that showcases all kinds of exclusive Monster Energy items to help offset some of the costs for recovery efforts. Auction items include: autographed signature pieces, helmets, RC Trucks, one-of-a kind action sports memorabilia, etc. For an opportunity to check it out, support and buy visit: http://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/item/Browse.action?auctionId=147552353

In November 2010, Monster Energy professional snowmobile athlete Thacker was injured during a routine training session leaving him without the use of his legs, but he hasn’t changed his positive outlook on life. In fact, he chooses to embrace his spirit for life and will continue to work at recovery with his rehabilitation therapy, never giving up hope. Despite his injury, it hasn’t stopped him from remaining active in the action sports world where he has announced for events such as the Winter X Games 2012 and dedicated his time to the Monster Energy Gives Back Program’s charity events.

“Monster Energy Gives Back is dedicated first and foremost to our athletes to support them in every possible way,” said Terri Sacks, director and founder of the Monster Energy Gives Back Program. We are honored to partner with Thacker on his fundraising efforts in support of spinal cord recovery and will do whatever we can to assist in raising awareness and additional funds for his foundation.”
