The Daytona Supercross by Honda was held last evening under terrible, wet weather conditions. In the 450 main event, James Stewart (Yamaha) got a good start and then passed teammate Davi Millsaps to take the lead and win. Millsaps finished in second, followed by third place Kevin Windham (Honda).
Points leader and defending champ Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) crashed on the opening lap, but battled his way from last place to a fifth place finish on the muddy, sloppy track. With KTM’s Ryan Dungey sitting out the event with an injury, Villopoto actually increased his points lead in the series to 29.

It’s the race it was, congrats all around.
Great to see Windham on the podium. Was hoping he would take it after what looked like an awesome qualifying round. What a sloppy mess!
