Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship
Series Statistical Report
Red Bull Spring Creek National
Spring Creek MX Park – Millville, Minn. – July 27
- Spring Creek has hosted a Lucas Oil Pro Motocross National since 1983. It boasts several of the most iconic obstacles in the sport, including the “Holy Schmit” jump named for late local legend Donny Schmit, and the sand whoops. The track also has the longest start straight on the schedule.
- The city of Millville has a population of about 200. On Saturday, that population will grow by at least 50 times that number when thousands of die-hard motocross fans pour into the town.
- Hometown hero Ryan Dungey has won the last five years at Spring Creek – twice in the 250 Class and three times in the 450 Class.
- Spring Creek is in the back yard of brothers Alex Martin and Jeremy Martin, as their parents-John and Greta-own the facility.
- This Saturday, Alex and Jeremy will face each other at their home track for the first time in their Lucas Oil Pro Motocross careers. The 2013 series marks the first full 250 Class season for Jeremy.
- Millville’s very own Jeremy Martin is currently the highest placing rookie in the 250 Class with ninth overall. Martin looks to capture his second career podium finish at Spring Creek.
- Ryan Villopoto is the only rider in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship to win a moto at every round thus far.
- Ryan Dungey has won five-straight races at Spring Creek across both classes, dating back to 2008 when he captured the 250 Class victory in his home state.
450 Class Stats

- Bob Hannah book-ended his career at Spring Creek, winning his first-ever race in the 250 Class on April 4, 1976, and winning his final race in the 450 Class on August 11, 1985.
- A total of four riders have posted their final career victories at Spring Creek. However, no rider has ever won his first career 450 Class race at the facility.
- Spring Creek hosted the 500cc national from 1985-1993. Honda won all but one event.
