29 July 2013: members of Team SBK Ducati Alstare will be sure to bring their appetite along to the next round of the World Superbike championship! During the Silverstone round, scheduled to take place between 2 and 4 August, Team SBK Ducati Alstare will have the pleasure of welcoming Olivier Limousin, executive head chef of the two Michelin-starred London restaurant L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon.
Chef Limousin will join the team at the English racetrack and will prepare a special meal composed of dishes that will be created especially for the occasion and dedicated to team Ducati Alstare. The menu will include: foie gras “royale” and parmesan foam; beef tartare “Alstare”, red pepper confit with fresh basil; and wings “Panigale”, caramelized and served with a fregola sarda, and will be served on both Saturday and Sunday to selected guests that will be invited to lunch in the team’s hospitality structure. Guests will have the unique opportunity to enjoy these mouth-watering plates, prepared by one of Europe’s top chefs, with the Superbike paddock as the backdrop.
Having always been a bike enthusiast, as a youngster Chef Limousin considered becoming a traffic policemen so as to be able to ride a bike every day. However, on realising how many years of study were involved, he soon changed his mind and began working as a cook. A decision that clearly paid off, considering Limousin’s hugely successful career in the culinary world. The event will give both Limousin and the entire Ducati Alstare squad and its guests the chance to combine two great passions: food and bikes!
