Monster Energy Supercross Behind the Dream  Episode 7 Premieres Sunday on FOX Sports 1

An In-Depth Profile on GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac

AURORA, Ill. (April 24, 2015) –Monster Energy Supercross Behind the Dream, the acclaimed eight-episode documentary series, will premiere its seventh installment this Sunday, April 26, at 11:30 a.m. EDT/ 8:30 a.m. PDT on FOX Sports 1. The latest episode will profile the breakout 2015 season of GEICO Honda rider Eli Tomac.

With its unparalleled access to the stars of the sport, Monster Energy Supercross Behind the Dream goes behind the scenes both on and off the track with these highly talented athletes, earning tremendous notoriety as a result. This season, viewers have been treated to one-of-a-kind behind the scenes features on newly crowned 450SX Class Champion Ryan Dungey, Ken Roczen, Trey Canard and more.

Episode 7 of Behind the Dream will dive into the 2015 season of Tomac, one of Monster Energy Supercross’ rising stars. The Colorado native missed the majority of his rookie 450SX Class season in 2014 due to injuries, but has bounced back in a big way this year to earn a pair of Main Event victories and a likely runner-up finish in the final championship standings. Tomac’s strong work ethic and relentless pursuit of success is in his blood. His father, John Tomac, is one of the most successful mountain bike riders of all time. The competitive spirit his father possesses has no doubt carried into the next generation with Eli. Their father-son rivalry has worked to Eli’s advantage when it comes to training off the motorcycle, as they often challenge one another on the mountain bike trails around Colorado.

“It was a really cool opportunity to work with Behind the Dream and allow the cameras to get a look into my life both on and off the track,” said Tomac. “My dad has been a huge influence on my career and I think our relationship is something really special and unique. I’m glad we had the chance to share that and I’m looking forward to see how the episode it turns out.”

This weekend, Monster Energy Supercross will host its first-ever live broadcast on FOX from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Saturday, April 25 at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
