Jamie Robinson Will Ride the Multistrada More Than 2,000 Miles Round Trip With a Stop in Colorado Springs to Compete in the Epic “Race to the Clouds”
Cupertino, Calif. (June 25, 2015) – Motorcycle adventurer and former British racing champion, Jamie Robinson, has teamed up with Ducati for an extreme demonstration of the 4-bikes-in-1 concept that defines the Multistrada 1200. In just over one week’s time, Robinson has traveled more than 1,000 miles on the new Multistrada – battling the city streets of Los Angeles, relaxing in cruise control across Nevada and taking a few shortcuts through the mountain roads of Utah – all before arriving at the starting line to compete in the 93rd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on Sunday, July 28.
The Multistrada holds the course record at Pikes Peak and has taken the top spot on the podium multiple times. Now, Robinson will put versatility of a virtually untouched Multistrada to the test and showcase how well rounded the bike truly is.
“I’ve raced all over the world on all types of motor bikes and the Multistrada is one of the fastest, comfortable and most capable motorcycles I’ve ever ridden,” said Robinson. “We thought that taking a Multistrada right out of the showroom, riding it all the way from Los Angeles to race in Pikes Peak and then riding back home, would be a great way to show the world what the bike can do!”
