Clear skies, an empty Spanish track, three teams, four bikes, eight riders – and the games begin.
Yamaha’s Road Racing teams took two brand-new WorldSBK-spec and two all-new 2016 Endurance-spec YZF-R1s to the track in preparation for the 2016 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship and FIM Endurance World Championship season.
Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team’s Alex Lowes and Sylvain Guintoli were joined by GMT94 Yamaha Official EWC Team’s David Checa, Louis Rossi and Niccolò Canepa and YART Yamaha Official EWC Team’s Broc Parkes, Max Neukirchner and Iván Silva at a desolated Circuito de Velocidad to start their private pre-season workout.
Revving engines, incredible top speeds, sliding tyres, and just a bit of friendly competition were all on show as the riders turned the flowing hills of Jerez de la Frontera into their private playground.
