Defending champion Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) broke the lap record during qualifying for tomorrow’s Le Mans MotoGP race. Lorenzo is the first rider ever to dip under 1:32. Qualifying second and third respectively, were Marc Marquez (Honda) and Andrea Iannone (Ducati). The winner of the last round, Valentino Rossi (Yamaha), qualified in 7th position and will start on row 3. For more details, visit the official MotoGP site.

That was painful to watch. Maverick totally held up Rossi during his best qualifying lap, dropping #46 to 7th.

After that run by Lorenzo I wonder if we will hear complaints about the tires if he doesn’t win tomorrow? I could have easily won if bla bla bla (Spanish for blah blah blah I’ve read)
Interesting, how far apart the two top team’s #1 & #2 riders qualified.
If someone doesn’t get in front of Lorenzo early…
Maybe his future teammate can mix it up with him.
