German MotoGP Qualifying Results

At the extremely tight Sachsenring track earlier today, Marc Marquez (Honda), the current series points leader), qualified on pole position for tomorrow’s race with Hector Barbera (Ducati) lining up in second position and Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) third. Defending champ Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) has crashed several times this weekend, and could only manage the 11th quickest lap during qualifying. Here are the full results from Q2:

    Glad to see Barbera on the front row. Lorenzo seems rattled, confidence shaken, the opposite of Rossi who never runs short of confidence. Dani seems in a funk also. Too bad as I hoped for a top season for him this year.

    Methinks Lorenzo is in “quick sand” these days ( watch football comedy The Replacements for frame of reference)

    Going to be a rain race which favors Rossi if he can keep it on two wheels this time.

      His switch to Ducati will turn things even more interesting.
      I don’t think he would be able to do the switch and keep his dominance “when everything is right”… but could happen, not even Rossi could handle the Italian ride…

    If you had told me in January that there would be a qualifying order like this (Marquez being the exception), I’d have never believed you.
