Fassi and Dorna WorldSBK Organisation are delighted to announce their ongoing partnership as Fassi is named Event Main Sponsor of Round 11 of the 2016 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. The Round will therefore be called the Fassi French Round.
Fassi is a global leader in the manufacturing of cranes and lifting equipment, a sponsor of the Championship, an important collaborator with WorldSBK and have been part of the WorldSBK Series now for four consecutive years. As Event Main Sponsor, Fassi is able to enjoy the unrivalled global exposure offered by the world’s fastest production motorcycle racing series in an important European market.
“Our participation in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship represents an unbelievable opportunity to touch four continents during the year, on racing motorcycles that are a guarantee for strong competition and amazingly spectacular races”, says Mr. Giovanni Fassi, CEO of Fassi group. “This worldwide journey turns the spotlight on the Fassi brand and has become in the last years a prestigious occasion for our international sales network to get the customers closer to the exciting experiences offered by WorldSBK. Fassi has an impressive presence in Europe and especially in France – one of our biggest markets. Being the Event Main Sponsor this year in France at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours – as it also happened in 2015 – makes our image and reputation in the French market even bigger.”
“We are delighted that Fassi are returning as Event Main Sponsor in WorldSBK,” said Marc Saurina, Commercial and Marketing Director of WorldSBK. “The exposure offered by the Championship is unique and the perfect opportunity for a global company such as Fassi. We are thrilled to see a continuation of this partnership with another agreement between DWO and the Italian manufacturer.”
Heading into the Fassi French Round, Kawasaki Racing Team’s Jonathan Rea leads the Championship with a 47 point advantage over teammate Tom Sykes with Chaz Davies trailing behind in third. The Fassi French Round will see Rea push to increase his standings lead to take out the title for an incredible second consecutive time.
The much-awaited Fassi French Round begins at the Circuit De Nevers Magny-Cours on the 30th of September to the 2nd of October.
