450SX Class
- Back On Top: Ryan Dungey returned to the top step of the podium for the first time in four races. It’s the longest gap between wins since he endured through a 12-race drought that carried through the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
- All About the Start: For the second time this season Dungey’s won with a wire-to-wire effort. He became the first rider to earn multiple SupercrossLive.com Holeshots this season and has a class-leading starting average of 3.5.
- Surging Ahead: Eli Tomac overcame a ninth-place start in Atlanta to finish second, passing seven riders. It equaled the most riders he’s passed in a Main Event this season, but was his first podium result in 2017 that didn’t result in a win.
- Breaking Out: Blake Baggett is already amassing the best season of his 450SX Class career. Through eight races he’s claimed his first top qualifying time, Heat Race win, and equaled a career-best result with a third in Atlanta.

Eastern Regional 250SX Class
- Long Awaited: Zach Osborne’s first career win came in his landmark 50th career start, in a career that dates back to the 2006 season. He earned 12 career podiums prior to the win, from which he became the 104th different winner in 250SX Class history.
- Unfamiliar Territory: With his win Osborne will carry the weight of being the championship leader for the first time in his career. A red plate will adorn his Husqvarna for just the second time in the brand’s supercross history.
- Rebound Riders: The podium finishes for both Alex Martin and Colt Nichols came on the heels of tough opening round efforts. Nichols’ 3rd-place finish vaulted him from 10th to 4th in points, while Martin’s runner-up effort moved him from 22nd to 9th in the standings.
- In the Mix: Despite losing the points lead in Atlanta, opening round winner Joey Savatgy salvaged a solid night in fourth after starting back in eighth. As a result, he sits just two points out of the lead.
