The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team resumed action in Mugello (Italy) with Marco Melandri for a one-day, private test. The Italian worked steadily (105 laps completed) to evaluate several chassis and electronics upgrades, making back-to-back comparisons in order to overcome the issues encountered during the last round, with positive feedback.
The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team will resume action for the sixth round of the 2017 WorldSBK Championship, scheduled for May 26-28 at Donington (U.K.).
Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #33)
“It’s been an intense and productive day. We worked a lot on the bike’s geometries. In particular, we focused on two areas: the stability under acceleration while upshifting and the front-end feedback in corner entry. Until one hour to go, I wasn’t particularly satisfied, then we found positive sensations in the last few runs. I’d have liked to try some more modifications to the electronics, but it’s OK. We gathered important indications to improve our performance in the upcoming races.”
