Jordi Torres opened the first race day at Assen placing 9th in the WorldSBK Race1. Raffaele De Rosa qualified 3rd getting the first row, whilst teammate Ayrton Badovini took the 13th position in grid for Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse by Vamag.
WorldSBK – Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse
Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse and Jordi Torres were back on track ysterday for the first race of the WorldSBK weekend at the TT circuit Assen, with the Spaniard taking 9th (1’35.099) in the starting grid after a thrilled Tissot-Superpole2 morning heat.
In the race, Jordi is not able to fully express his potential, because of a slow start and a problem at the front of his bike. At the end of the 21 laps-long race, Torres will close in 9th position.
WorldSSP – Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse by Vamag
Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse by Vamag’s rider Raffaele De Rosa was in good form today at Assen TT legendary track. The Italian was quickly on the spot and had a good feeling with his MV Agusta F3 675 machine, taking the 3rd position in the grid out of 28 riders, with a (1’38.109) laptime.
De Rosa’s teammate, fellow Italian Ayrton Badovini, had to stop in the last decisive minutes of the Tissot- Superpole1 due to an electrical problem on his bike, while he was leading the group. The Italian rider will start from the 13th position in the grid.
Jordi Torres – This is not the result we wanted but in Superpole2 we had some problems at the front that did not allow me to ride as I wanted. In the Warm Up we will try a slightly different setup and by my side I will try to have a less aggressive riding style in the race.
Raffaele De Rosa – The first row is a very important result because it confirms the excellent work we are doing with the bike. Tomorrow morning we will make some little changes to further improve the race pace. Big thanks to my whole team as they are doing a really great job.
Ayrton Badovini – Of course, I am disappointed because I really had the chances to enter the SP2 session and fight for the best positions in the grid. Unfortunately, I suffered an electric problem at the end of my fast lap and I couldn’t improve my lap time. Despite this trouble, I was out of the SP2 for just one position. I am confident for tomorrow, we will try to improve our pace and have a good race.
