Marc Marquez (Honda) qualified on pole position for tomorrow’s Sepang MotoGP race (and he will be credited with pole in the MotoGP record books) before receiving a six-place grid penalty for blocking a fast lap by Suzuki’s Andrea Iannone. As a result, Marquez will line up 7th on the grid tomorrow.
The front row tomorrow will consist of Johann Zarco (Yamaha) on pole, with Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) in second position and Iannone in third. Take a look here for full qualifying results. Stay tuned for race coverage on MD tomorrow.

No one seems to be talking about Rossi, in the way of Marquez’s hot lap? I would hope MM can still win, no matter how much politics tries to get in his way.
MM did the same at Austin (demoted to 4th on the grid) so this was his second infraction which carries a stiffer penalty.
HES ALREADY CHAMPION..WHATS HE GOT TOO PROVE…ANNOYING
from what I understand, it wasn’t intentional, Marquez moved out of the way of Dovi but didn’t see Iannone who was getting a tow from Dovi. Iannone said it wasn’t intentional and he wasn’t looking to have MM penalized. It was a decision by race direction.
