ALEIX READY TO GET BACK IN THE SADDLE IN ASSEN
ANDREA KEEN TO CONTINUE GROWING WITH HIS RS-GP
MotoGP 2019 meets history with the GP of Holland in Assen. This is a circuit which, despite the changes it has undergone over the years, maintains its particular charm. Credit goes to the Dutch fans who always turn out in great numbers to give the Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing riders an extremely warm welcome.
The good news in the Aprilia camp is an improvement to Aleix Espargaró’s conditions. After the bad accident during his home race in Barcelona, he is determined to be back in the saddle in Assen. The Spanish rider will undergo medical checks on his left leg Thursday, but the chances of seeing him on the track this weekend are rather high.
Finishing in the points in Barcelona, Andrea Iannone is headed to Holland with comforting memories of the Assen asphalt, with a win and a podium taken here during his Moto2 days. The Italian rider is making his way toward important positions with confidence and determination, placing work on the RS-GP and development of a technical package that suits his needs at the forefront.
ALEIX ESPARGARO’
“This week, I went through some intense rehabilitation, with all possible techniques and equipment. I am pleased with the results because I feel rather well, despite still having some difficulty with lateral movement due to the bone edema. In any case, I am highly motivated to get back on the track in Assen, one of my favourite circuits on the MotoGP calendar.”
ANDREA IANNONE
“I like the Dutch track, where I have sweet memories of the races I have ridden on this historic circuit. I hope it will be a positive weekend for us. We were able to demonstrate some encouraging signs in Barcelona and we’ll be trying to improve even more.”
