Donington Park WSB Results (all 3 races)

Kawasaki’s defending champ Jonathan Rea took the championship points lead away from Alvaro Bautista (Ducati) this weekend at Donington Park after Bautista crashed out of Race 1, and Rea proceeded to win all 3 races.

Race 1 saw Tom Sykes (BMW) and Leon Haslam (Kawasaki) fill out the podium behind Rea, while Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki) and Bautista finished second and third in Race 2 behind Rea. Rea led a Kawasaki sweep of the podium in the short, Superpole race with Razgatlioglu and Haslam second and third behind him.

Rea leaves Donington with a 24 point lead over Bautista in the championship. You will find full results for Race 1 here,  the Superpole race here and Race 2 here. For additional details and points, visit the official WSB site.

Well, it seems that the “motoGP wonder” it’s no more than a very good pilot on a bike that has a monster engine. When the circuits have short straights and the Panigale can’t stretch his legs, Rea showed that a WSBK champion is not a “class B” pilot.
