Points leader Marc Marquez (Honda) gained pole position for tomorrow’s race with the quickest time in qualifying earlier today. Joining Marquez on the front row will be Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) and Jack Miller (Ducati). Despite being fastest all week at the British circuit, rookie Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) appeared to suffer from some technical issues with his bike during Q2 and could only manage 4th on the grid.
Returning after an extended absence to recover from a back injury, Jorge Lorenzo (Honda) has been well off the pace all weekend, and qualified in 21st position. Lorenzo says his back injury is still healing, and he must be very careful not to crash.
