Jorge Martin (Ducati) shattered the MotoGP lap record at Sepang earlier today to earn pole position for tomorrow’s race. On the front row with Martin will be Enea Bastianini (Ducati) and Marc Marquez (Honda).

The top championship contenders this year fared relatively poorly with Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati) qualifying 9th, Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) qualifying 10th and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) qualifying 12th. Bagnaia has a 14 point lead in the championship and an opportunity to clinch the title tomorrow.
