The penultimate round of the MotoGP championship series was held at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia this weekend.
On Saturday, Jorge Martin (Ducati) won the Sprint race ahead of Marc Marquez (Ducati) in second and Enea Bastianini (Ducati) in third. Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati), trying to stay close to Martin on championship points, crashed out of the race (unhurt).
On Sunday, Bagnaia came back to win the full GP race ahead of Martin in second and Bastianini in third. The first few laps of Sunday’s race featured an incredible back-and-forth battle between Martin and Bagnaia, with Bagnaia ultimately holding onto the lead.
Due to the flooding in Valencia, Spain last week, Valencia will not host the final round of the series this year. Organizers are attempting to secure the Barcelona track in its place, but full details have yet to be announced.
Martin has a 24 point lead in the championship over Bagnaia, and he simply needs to avoid catastrophe at the final round to secure his first MotoGP title. I haven’t been to this site in a while.
Obviously MDS, Marquez Derangement Syndrome, still goes uncured.

i stopped buying magazines because the amount of advertisements far exceeded and over-took the actual content of interest.

Looks like Yamaha is finally sorting a few things out.
Then the day after they announced moving the race the Barcelona, it’s airport gets flooded and cancels 70 flights. The rain in Spain is backing up the drains.
Bastianini has been fast lately. I wonder if he’ll take third in the championship away from bumper car Marquez.
Looks like it’s Martin’s championship to lose. Consistently baby! Show up, ride fast, and stay out of the kitty litter.

My guess is something important broke in the crash and he noticed this when getting back to the bike.

Anyone know why when Bagnaia crashed in the Sprint race he didn’t even attempt to remount and stay in the race, to possibly collect a few very valuable points ? It was a very minor-looking low-side-slide, the bike didn’t look like it sustained hardly any damage, yet he didn’t even try to restart it.

I suppose he would have been at least 12th, like Mark Marquies at his crashes. Not a big deal for Pecco.
