Jeff Emig During Happier Times

MD has uncovered details on the arrest of Jeff Emig by the Lake Havasu Police Department, and his subsequent plea agreement with the District Attorney. According to a spokesman for the Lake Havasu Police Department, Cam Jeffrey Emig (Jeff’s full name) was arrested at 2:35 a.m. on Sunday, August 22, 1999 in Lake Havasu and charged with three crimes (all misdemeanors), including (1) possession of marijuana, (2) possession of drug paraphernalia and (3) public consumption of alcohol. According to a Lake Havasu City Municipal Court spokesperson, Emig was held and then released the same day, August 22, 1999, after posting a $1,000.00 bond.
On August 27, 1999, pursuant to an agreement with the Lake Havasu prosecuting authorities, Jeff Emig pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, and the state of Arizona dismissed the two other charges for marijuana possession and public consumption of alcohol. Emig was given one year of unsupervised probation and fined $500.00. Emig paid the $500.00 fine on the spot.
As previously reported in MD, Emig was fired by Kawasaki on August 26, 1999, one day prior to his guilty plea on the drug paraphernalia charge.
