Ducati’s Carl Fogarty, reigning World Superbike champion, should be back training in less than three weeks. Fogarty underwent a one hour surgery to repair his broken humerus bone (upper arm bone) after his crash in race two of last weekend’s World Superbike round at Phillip Island, Australia. Receiving a titanium plate and several screws, Fogarty’s arm will be immobilized for only a couple of weeks, allowing him to get back to training fairly quickly (and avoid significant muscle atrophy).
