Multi-time World Motocross champion Greg Albertyn (Suzuki) is on a mission. A mission to erase years of bad luck since coming to America, and a mission to gain his first AMA National championship. Albertyn took another big step toward his goal on August 15, 1999 at Millville, Minnesota, by winning the overall victory in the 250 class.

Albertyn was strong and consistent all day — finishing first and second in the two motos, and gaining significant points on his closest pursuers in the championship, Honda’s Kevin Windham (8/1 — for 3rd overall) and Honda’s Mike LaRocco (4/4 — for 5th overall).

Yamaha mounted Jimmy Button had another solid round, finishing second overall and third in each of the two motos.
