Just over a week following the conclusion of this year’s Isle of Man TT races, and Joey Dunlop’s 24th, 25th and 26th victories on the island, Dunlop was killed today in a 125cc race in Estonia, according to a report from Cycle News.
Dunlop, known for his somewhat casual approach to racing, but incredible success, was revered throughout Great Britain and elsewhere in the world of motorcycle racing. His three victories this year on the Isle of Man at the age of 48 were incredible, and secured his place in motorcycle racing history.
