Suzuki’s young motocross/supercross star, and new AMA 125 Outdoor National Motocross Champion, Travis Pastrana injured his knee earlier this week while riding his BMX bike. According to RacerX, Pastrana has a fracture and a possible ACL tear, but should be healthy and in shape for the opening of the AMA Supercross season in January or, at the latest, by February of next year.
Pastrana is scheduled for surgery on his knee next week, and more details from Suzuki should be forthcoming.
Even younger motocross star James Stewart (currently sponsored by Kawasaki) was also injured in a recent motocross race, and underwent surgery on a broken shoulder earlier this week. No word yet on Stewart’s prognosis.
