This Sunday at Glen Helen Raceway in Southern California, the White Brothers World Four-Stroke Motocross Championship will be held. There are several reports that Honda’s Ryan Hughes will race the CRF450 at this event. This will be the first time Honda has raced its new four-stroke motocrosser in the United States.
Hughes is the primary development rider for the CRF450, and he is also expected to race the big four-stroke in the AMA Outdoor Motocross Nationals beginning in May.
As we reported earlier, Honda’s motocross manager Cliff White stated in an interview that the engine and frame raced by Sebastien Tortelli in Japan several months ago were already in production form. While the production machine is apparently done, Honda is still experimenting with race settings and displacement.
