It doesn’t get any better than winning the AMA Supercross championship and the premier 450 class AMA Pro Motocross championship in the same year. Ryan Villopoto accomplished just that when he clinched his first Outdoor title yesterday at Pala Raceway in Southern California. Enough success for Team Kawasaki? Apparently not, as Kawasaki won every single one of the 12 rounds in the 250 class this year (the first team ever to do so) while taking the title with Dean Wilson. Kawasaki also finished first, second and third in the 250 championship series with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki teammates Tyla Rattray and Blake Baggett finishing behind Wilson.

Those Kawasaki 250s are some fast mofos! Compared to the rest of the pack, their high-revving engines almost sounded like two stokes. Seriously good wrenching on that team… makes me feel sorry for the privateers, who really have the deck stacked against them esp with timed laps instead of elimination motos.
It was agreat SX/MX season.
