For at least a month now, we have heard that Jeremy McGrath is considering switching bike brands next year. This supercross season was a huge disappointment for McGrath, and the first time in a decade he finished without a single victory. It was also his last year of his current Yamaha contract.
Yamaha will be loaded with supercross talent next year — both David Vuillemin and Chad Reed will race 250s for the blue team. Do they still need McGrath? Can McGrath make more money riding for another factory?
With Kawasaki rumored to be debuting an all-new 250 next year, McGrath and Team Green just might make a good match. We’ll see.
