Eric Bostrom Getting Most From His Aging Kawasaki

With all the fuss about Nicky Hayden this year (well deserved, I might add), Eric Bostrom may quietly be proving he is currently the best American roadracer. His performance at Brainerd this past weekend (earning pole position and finishing a close second to Nicky Hayden in the race) on the oldest superbike in the paddock (and a four-cylinder to boot), was impressive, indeed.

With Kawasaki’s obvious efforts to groom Eric for World championship racing next year (will it be WSB or MotoGP?) Bostrom has clearly regained the confidence he had several years ago at Honda (during the season in which he substituted for Miguel Duhamel on the tempermental RC45 and won two superbike races). He was the only 750 to hang with the V-twins at Brainerd (which features the longest straight-away on the circuit).
