There will always be rumors of four-stroke motocross bikes beyond the horizon . . . at least until they appear. This is because four-stroke motocross bikes, like most other high-performance motorcycles, must be in development for several years before they are ready for production and display to the public.
This is the case with Kawasaki and Suzuki, each of which undoubtedly wants to join the four-stroke motocross wave sweeping both the U.S. and Europe. Will these two marques deliver production four-stroke motocrossers in the next few months, for the 2004 model year? That is the rumor that is growing stronger by the moment. Indeed, it is expected that both marques will debut both a 250 and a 450 this fall. Stay tuned.
