Kawasaki’s decision not to bring the 2004 Z750 (see yesterday’s article) to the U.S. is fairly typical. If you are a fan of naked bikes, this is unfortunate.
The major manufacturers still view the demand for naked bikes in the United States to be far below the demand for nakeds in Europe . . . and we will continue to receive fewer naked models here in the U.S. than are available in Europe. The reality is that naked bikes simply do not sell in high volumes here in the United States (with few exceptions). Until this changes, do not expect those cool looking naked bikes available in Europe to become available in the U.S. (particularly, the 600cc class machines).
