The top factory Honda MotoGP team, sponsored by Repsol, has typically had two riders. With the departure of Valentino Rossi to Yamaha, however, Repsol Honda has Nicky Hayden and no one else. At least, at this point.
While there were rumors that Alex Barros might move from Yamaha to join Nicky, that does not appear likely at this point. Will Honda leave Nicky in the Repsol paddock alone next year? That would be out of character, but it could be a necessity given the lack of quality riders available at this point.
