KTMs dominated the motorcycle side of the Dakar Rally, which finished with Spaniard Nani Roma in first place (the first Spaniard ever to win the overall motorcycle victory).

Also aboard a KTM, American Larry Roeseler (yes, the Baja racing legend) finished twelfth overall.
