With Kenny Roberts running very competitive times at the opening day of the MotoGP test at Catalunya, it looks like Suzuki’s chassis and engine changes are finally paying off. If Suzuki can compete for podiums, and even race wins, this year, the championship will be that much more interesting. It is beginning to look like Suzuki will.
Roberts’ teammate John Hopkins made his return to the race track after injuring his ankles in a supercross accident a couple of months ago. His times were not too far behind Roberts, and he also had positive things to say about the new machine. The tests continue over the next couple of days.
