As published in our Press Release section on May 7, 2004, Aprilia has obtained new financing to allow it to proceed with production. Nevertheless, it appears that Aprilia is still attempting to sell its Moto Guzzi brand, with Ducati continuing to conduct “due diligence” in order to formulate an offer for Moto Guzzi.
Many other potential purchasers are reportedly looking at Moto Guzzi, as well. The sale of Moto Guzzi by Aprilia may indeed be part of Aprilia’s efforts to shore up its financial situation.
