Details are sparse at this point, but Suzuki Great Britain has released official pictures and specs for the 2005 GSX-R1000.
The only thing that we can tell you from the spec sheet is that Suzuki’s big superbike has lost a claimed 4 pounds for 2005, which should bring it closer to Kawasaki’s super-light ZX-10R. The ’05 motor retains the same 59mm stroke as the ’04 bike, but a small increase in bore (from 73mm to 73.4mm) gives the GSX-R1000 an extra 11cc of displacement for 2005 (up to 999cc from 988cc).
More details about changes for 2005 will have to wait until we receive the Suzuki press kit, but hopefully these photos will give you something to salivate over.
