Daniel Craig may be a stud, but he doesn’t do all of his own stunts. When it comes to those outrageous motorcycle scenes in the newest James Bond thriller “Skyfall”, for instance, talented specialists such as Robbie Maddison get the call. All of the motorcycles featured in “Skyfall” are Honda CRF250R motocross bikes. The video below is quite interesting. For more information, visit the official movie site.
These movie producers and directors actually believe that we mere mortal movie-goers actually are so stupid to NOT see that a bike is not a bike and it is a motorcross bike? Only in America and only in Hollywood.
Stop any of them on their way to the bank; they will politely roll down the window of their Mercedes S65AMG V-12 Bi-turbo and explain, “Yes. Yes movie-goers are indeed that stupid.”
Can’t say I’m thrilled watching the lad practicing in a t-shirt at the beginning. Sure, he’s probably well in control, but still….
He’s wearing MX boots, a helmet, a Leatt and knee braces and he’s practicing on a soft dirt test track. What more do you want? Bubble wrap?
The actual stunts on concrete w/o helmets make my butt pucker.
Yes, Bubblewrap!! Never undervalue the bubblewrap!! Greatest invention in the history of histories, along with Loctite, Durex and those hamster-ball thingies.
Neat to see it is ACTUAL motorcycle stunts and not CGI! That adds a lot to the movie IMO.
Reminds me of when I asked my daughter why she wasn’t doing better in science. She replied, “I don’t want to lose the magic.”
Thanks for letting us know it’s not actually a Hollywood star riding the bike.
(sarc off)
Funny they dressed the bike up to look like a KLR…
Reckon their deal was with Honda, otherwise it probably would have been a KLR!
I just saved $10! Now I don’t have to go out and spend money of “Skyfall” just to see all the motorcycle scenes!
