Ducati North America marketing boss Stefano Sbettega described to us the new Hypermotard/Hyperstrada line-up at the recent Long Beach Motorcycle Show. These 821cc liquid-cooled supermotos offer 110 horsepower in a lightweight, upright package. We made Stefano promise MD could test one soon. Stefano’s heavy accent and soft voice make headset listening preferable.

The Hyperstrada is a step in the right direction for me! Upright ergos, light weight and sporty handling! but….and its a big but – The KTM SMT is a 990 for the same money.
