Doug Henry Takes on GNCC . . . and Wins!

Three-time National Motocross champion Doug Henry grabbed his Honda CRF450R to race the Grand National Cross-Country event in DeLeon Springs, Florida against the likes of Juha Salminen (a former, multi-time World Enduro champ racing for KTM in the United States) and Shane Watts (also aboard a KTM — Watts is an off-road legend who is returning from a brief retirement). Henry won the race over Salminen and Watts. Quite an achievement for a retired motocrosser, particularly, considering the length of these events (roughly three hours).

Up until this race, it appeared that Salminen had the measure of his competitors. He has, with the exception of Henry.

You may recall that Henry has been racing supermoto with another, retired motocross legend, Jeff Ward.
