450SX Class: Toronto Stats

  • The first race was held on December 3, 2004, and Ricky Carmichael won on a Suzuki
  • Toronto is the only international stop on the circuit
  • In 2005, James Stewart won on a Kawasaki
  • In 2006, Chad Reed won on a Yamaha
  • Reed became the first two time winner in Toronto with his win in 2008. Ryan Villopoto and Stewart have since joined Reed as two-time winners in Toronto.
  • Honda and KTM have not won in Toronto; Honda’s Justin Barcia and KTM’s Dungey can change this
  • If Reed makes the start this weekend, he will tie Jeff Ward for fifth on the all-time 450SX Class start list with 160
  • Ryan Villopoto won the seventh race of his season in Toronto last year and the 22nd of his career
  • Justin Brayton’s second place finish last year in Toronto marked the first time in his career that he earned back-to-back second-place finishes.

450SX Class: Indianapolis Recap

  • Villopoto earned his 30th career 450SX Class victory. It was his sixth of the season. He is now alone in fifth on the all-time 450SX Class win list.
  • Villopoto is one of five riders to win 30 450SX Class races. He earned 30 victories in 69 starts. He is the fourth fastest out of the five riders to accomplish this.
  • Stewart was the quickest to 30, doing it in 46 starts. McGrath follows him with 52 starts and Carmichael did it in 67. Reed did it in 89 starts.
  • For the fourth year in-a-row, Villopoto has won at least six 450SX Class races; he has helped Kawasaki to 121 victories
  • Just as he did in 2011 and 2012, Villopoto became the first rider in 2013 to win three consecutive races
  • After finishing 16th at the season opener, Villopoto has recovered to take over the points race by nine over Davi Millsaps
  • Dungey earned his second consecutive runner-up finish. He now has 60career starts and 42 podium finishes, which gives him a 70% career podium percentage
  • Stewart made the 98th career 450SX Class start, earning his third podium of the season with a second place. He now has 68 career podium finishes.
  • Stewart has been on the podium in three of the four past races
  • Millsaps now has 105 consecutive 450SX Class starts and has nine top-five finishes this season
  • Justin Barcia earned his seventh top five of his rookie 450SX Class season with a fifth

  • This will be the fifth time the gate will drop for an 250SX Class Race in Toronto
  • Christophe Pourcel won the first 250SX Class’ points paying race in Toronto in 2009 on a Kawasaki.
  • Barcia won in 2010 and 2012 on a Honda and Dean Wilson won in 2011 on a Kawasaki
  • Barcia earned his fifth win of the season and his ninth-career 250SX Class victory in Toronto last year
  • KTM’s Ken Roczen earned his second runner-up finish and third podium of the season last year in Toronto
