Tiny Italian bike manufacturer Moto Morini will bring their new 9.5 naked bike into production in 2006. The 9.5, powered by an 1187cc water-cooled V-Twin making a claimed 105bhp, was originally shown as a concept. It was unveiled in production form at the recent Milan motorcycle show.
The 9.5 was designed by Franco Lamertini, who designed Moto Morini’s original 3.5. The bike features an attractive steel-trellis frame, and uses an offset-mounted rear shock. The motor uses a fairly short stroke for such large displacement (107mm bore x 66mm stroke), and peak power is found at 8000rpm. Other features include a slipper clutch and Euro-3 compliant emissions equipment.
Unfortunately Moto Morini doesn’t have a United States importer at this time, so only our readers in Europe will get the chance to sample this low-production Italian naked. The rest of us will have to be content with the pictures shown here.
