Honda 2007 CB600F Hornet Introduced at Intermot

Honda just introduced the 2007 CB600F Hornet at the Intermot Motorcycle Show, and it signals a very serious focus on the naked bike market by the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer. How? Perhaps the most telling aspect is the use of an engine derived from, and developed in parallel with, the engine powering the all-new 2007 CBR600RR sportbike — the most advanced supersport engine ever manufactured by Honda!

As you can see from the photos, the styling is rather dramatic. The die-cast backbone aluminum frame is also entirely new, and it has attached to it a new swingarm. New, lightweight wheels contribute to an overall weight reduction of 12 pounds for the bike.

The Hornet will be available with an optional ABS braking system. Here is a link to the Honda UK site with all the details. No word yet on whether the bike will be sold in the United States next year, although it appears unlikely at this point.
